Founded in 2021, Utopias is an instrumental duo made up of Toronto-based musicians Jesse Klein and Quinn Jacobs. Having formed a strong musical bond during their high school years, Jesse and Quinn have been playing together for over a decade while continuing on their individual musical journeys. Quinn holds a PhD in Classical Composition and has written for multiple orchestras, while Jesse has a degree in Audio Engineering and has previously released music under the moniker PHAZE. Utopias is their first joint venture, combining Jesse’s production skills with Quinn’s exemplary guitar/bass playing to create what they have dubbed “progressive lo-fi”. Utopias aims to get your head nodding and your toes tapping to their smooth instrumental productions.
